"The Alternative for Germany party once again experiences defeat in the election for the State Central Committee of Political Education"

In a recent development at the Baden-Württemberg state parliament, the AfD faction's attempt to send two members to the board of the State Agency for Political Education (LpB) and two deputy members to the Upper Rhine Council has been unsuccessful.

The rejection of these appointments was unanimous among the Greens, CDU, SPD, and FDP factions. Pia Schellhammer, the Parliamentary Manager of the Green Party in the state parliament, explained the rejection, citing content-related concerns and the experiences of the AfD representatives in the LpB board during the previous legislative period.

Daniel Lede Abal, the parliamentary business manager of the Greens, accused AfD member Miguel Klauß of "arrogance and presumption" in his request for a re-vote, which was also rejected by the other factions. Klauß, in response, accused the other factions of not accepting the people's voting decisions and the AfD's entry into parliament, stating, "You want to exclude those who have a different opinion."
