Tesla's Supercharger stations in Grand Prairie (Alberta) and London (Ontario) Are Now Operational

In a significant step forward for electric vehicle (EV) travel in Canada, Tesla has officially commissioned two new Supercharger locations in Grand Prairie, Alberta, and London, Ontario.

The Grand Prairie Supercharger, located at 10819 106 Avenue, is strategically positioned near Highway 43, connecting Valleyview and Whitecourt to northern destinations such as Fort McMurray, Jasper, and British Columbia. This new charging station is part of Tesla's goal to deploy 56 new stalls across Alberta by 2025, strengthening Canada's EV infrastructure and supporting interprovincial travel.

The Grand Prairie Supercharger site features four V4 Superchargers capable of delivering up to 325 kW. Tesla owners can charge here for CA$0.60/kWh, while non-Tesla EV owners pay CA$0.84/kWh. The chargers are accessible around the clock, making long-distance travel more convenient for EV drivers.

The construction of the Grand Prairie Supercharger began earlier this summer in July. Meanwhile, the London Supercharger, located at 3075 Wonderland Road South, started its construction in May 2025. Part of the Westwood Centre retail plaza, near Tesla's recently opened London Service Center, the London Supercharger is one of the more significant charging sites in southwestern Ontario. Each stall at the London Supercharger supports up to 250 kW, and it operates 24/7, implementing time-of-use pricing.

Tesla's Canadian buildout includes more than 50 new Supercharger stations and 630 stalls slated for 2025. This ambitious plan includes the activation of two new Supercharger locations in Canada, one in Grand Prairie, Alberta, and another in London, Ontario.

As Tesla continues to expand its EV charging network, it's clear that the company is committed to making long-distance travel more accessible and convenient for EV drivers across Canada. Whether you're a Tesla owner or a non-Tesla driver, these new Superchargers are set to revolutionise EV travel in the country.
