Tesla raises Cybertruck's price further

Tesla has unveiled a new package for its top Cybertruck trim, the Cyberbeast, called the Luxe Package. However, despite the addition of premium features, sales have not seen a significant boost, remaining below expectations.

The Luxe Package is not optional for the Cyberbeast and comes with a hefty price tag of $114,990, a $15,000 increase from yesterday's pricing. The package includes Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) package, four-year premium service, free, unlimited supercharging, and premium connectivity.

While the FSD package is usually priced at $8,000 on other trims, its usefulness on the Cyberbeast remains questionable. The supervised full self-driving feature, while promising, is still in the development stage and may take a while before it becomes fully functional.

The other big perk of the Luxe Package, free Supercharging, may also take some time before it pays off. The cost of Supercharging sessions can add up, but with the current charging infrastructure, it may take numerous trips for the savings to offset the initial price increase.

Despite Elon Musk's constant promises of massive progress with Tesla's FSD package, sales have not surged in the U.S., and there has been no significant sales boost reported in China or elsewhere. Tesla has not published official delivery figures reflecting a sales surge in China after the introduction of the Luxe Package.

On the brighter side, the two cheaper Cybertruck trims are still available without the Luxe Package, priced at $62,490 and $72,490 respectively.
