Tesla broadens the reach of its Robotaxi app to Canada
Tesla's Robotaxi App Now Available in Canada
Tesla's highly anticipated Robotaxi service has made its way to the Canadian iOS App Store. The service areas for the Tesla Robotaxi are currently limited to Austin, Texas, and the Bay Area in California.
To get started, Canadian iPhone users can download the Tesla Robotaxi app from this specific link. Once downloaded, users must sign in with their Tesla account. After signing in, they can join the waitlist to gain access to use the service in Austin or the Bay Area.
While the app is now available, it's important to note that users cannot yet book rides. Instead, they can learn more about what they need to know before taking their first robotaxi ride through the app. Once off the waitlist, users will receive a notification allowing them to book rides.
The delay in the Canadian version of the iOS App Store may have caused the late availability of the Robotaxi app in Canada. In contrast, the app was made available to the public for iOS users in the United States the previous day.
As for Android users, they will have to wait a bit longer as the Android version of the Tesla Robotaxi app is yet to be released. However, an Android version is expected soon.
The Tesla Robotaxi app serves as the main portal for customers to request rides, track vehicle arrivals, manage payment options, view ride history, and more. Additionally, there is a link in the app to access the latest Robotaxi news from the official Robotaxi account on platform X.
At this time, there is no information provided about a referral link for three months of Full Self-Driving (FSD) in the app. Canadians interested in joining the Tesla Robotaxi service should keep an eye out for updates in the future.
