The contest was an unusual one, with the first set lasting a mere 20 minutes, while the second set extended to an hour and 20 minutes. Djokovic started the match in a scorching manner, racking up winners to take the first set easily.
Despite occasional signs of rustiness, Djokovic showcased flashes of his career-defining brilliance. His opponent, Tien, had a chance to make the second set 1-1 but couldn't convert a break point.
