Tennis great Sachin Tendulkar travels to Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh, for a two-day stay
Sachin Tendulkar, the cricket legend, arrived in Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh on Sunday afternoon, accompanied by his wife Dr Anjali Tendulkar and daughter Sara Tendulkar. The family is on a two-day vacation.
Upon arrival, a massive crowd of fans gathered to catch a glimpse of the iconic sportsman. The frenzied fans made it difficult for Tendulkar to reach his car, but he took it in stride, posing for photos and selfies before being escorted by the police.
Tendulkar visited the ancient Maa Ahilyeshwar Temple during his tour in Maheshwar. He expressed deep admiration for the temple's historical significance and the town's cultural richness.
The Tendulkar family also visited the banks of the sacred Narmada River and the Maheshwar Fort. Sachin Tendulkar closely observed the architecture and historical legacy of the fort, expressing his awe at the town's cultural and spiritual heritage.
The family is staying at the historic Ahilya Fort Heritage Hotel. They plan to explore more of the region's cultural and spiritual sites, including Maharani Ahilyabai's palace and fort, the Kashi Vishwanath and Rajrajeshwar temples, and the evening Narmada Aarti.
Tight security arrangements have been made by the administration to manage the crowd and ensure safety during Sachin Tendulkar's visit. SDOP Shweta Shukla and station in-charge Jagdish Goyal were among the officers overseeing security. The name of the person who coordinated the security arrangements for Sachin Tendulkar's stay in Maheshwar is Pankaj Khandelwal.
