Dmitri M. Johnson, the founder and CEO of dj2 Entertainment and the mind behind Story Kitchen, will serve as an executive producer on the show alongside Charlie Covell. Johnson's production company, Story Kitchen, is also involved in producing the TV adaptations of Tomb Raider, Split Fiction, and It Takes Two for Amazon.
Covell, who has previously worked on Netflix's Kaos and The End of the F***ing World, will be the writer, executive producer, and showrunner for Life is Strange. Johnson will be joined by Story Kitchen's Mike Goldberg and Timothy I. Stevenson as executive producers on the show. Covell described helming the Life is Strange show as "a huge honor."
The production team for the Life is Strange show has not yet announced a start date for filming or a release date. The adaptation will retell the story of the first game in the series, originally released in 2015, which is known for its significant impact of player choice.
