Teenager from Kamchatka creates digital tour guide for his local area
Kamchatka's Virtual Guide "Vivi" Created by 15-Year-Old Programmer Ruslan Barsukov
In the heart of Russia's Far East, a 15-year-old student named Ruslan Barsukov from Kamchatka Krai has developed an innovative Telegram bot named "Vivi". This virtual guide offers valuable information about Kamchatka's volcanoes, bears, thermal springs, and travel planning.
Ruslan, who has been self-studying programming since the fourth grade, spent around three months creating "Vivi". The total cost of developing the bot was over 15,000 rubles, covering server rental, domain, and hosting expenses.
Since its creation in 2020, the usage of "Vivi" has grown significantly, attracting thousands of users worldwide. The "41 Region" publication has reported on the creation and development of the "Vivi" bot.
The idea for "Vivi" originated from Ruslan's fascination with the natural beauties of Kamchatka. He was concerned that many local residents were unaware of its history and attractions. The bot was developed with the aim of helping Kamchatka residents learn more about their homeland.
Ruslan plans to expand "Vivi's" capabilities, with plans to add a video generation function. This will provide users with a more immersive and engaging experience, showcasing the stunning landscapes and wildlife of Kamchatka.
So far, 40 people have used the "Vivi" bot. As the bot continues to grow and evolve, it promises to be an invaluable resource for both locals and tourists alike, fostering a greater appreciation and understanding of Kamchatka's unique beauty.
