Earthquake Hits Segamat, Malaysia: No Casualties or Property Damage Reported

A weak earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 was detected in Segamat, Malaysia at 6.13 am today, according to reports by Ling Tian Soon, the State Health and Environment Committee chairman.

The earthquake was felt in several parts of Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, and southern Pahang, as confirmed by Ling Tian Soon. No specific locations beyond these states were mentioned in the reports.

The Menteri Besar of Segamat, Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, reported on the earthquake at 6:13 AM, stating that no injuries or property damage had been reported. This was echoed by the Segamat district officer, Mohd Ezzuddin Sanusi, who also confirmed no reported casualties or property damage.

In response to the earthquake, Onn Hafiz Ghazi made a Facebook post this morning, calling on the public to pray for Johor and the country to be spared from disasters. He also contacted the Segamat district officer for updates on the situation.
