Tallinn's Festive Week Brings Music, Wine and Gourmet Delights for All

Tallinn is gearing up for a festive week with a mix of music, wine, and seasonal treats. A free Christmas concert will kick things off on Monday, 15 December, at Tallinna Metodisti kirik. Meanwhile, wine lovers can enjoy special tastings, and foodies will find local delights at a gourmet market by week's end. The celebrations begin with Tallinn University's Christmas concert, Our Life in This World..., on Monday evening. The event brings together BFM soloists, university choirs, vocal ensembles, and the Tallinn University Symphony Orchestra. Audience members can expect a programme of Estonian-language and Estonia-inspired Christmas songs.

Wine enthusiasts have several events to choose from. On Wednesday, 17 December, Veino hosts a tasting of Racines Rebelles wines, featuring six distinctive bottles and one cider. The winemaker, Kaja Kohv, will introduce each selection in person. The following evening, Thursday, 18 December, marks the final Thursday wine night of the year with an extraordinary champagne tasting. Eight champagnes, made from seven different grape varieties, will be on offer. For those in the wine and hospitality industry, Veino is also holding a Christmas and Wine Meetup on Sunday, 21 December. The gathering includes a tasting and a Christmas raffle. Food lovers can then head to the Pre-Christmas Gourmet Market on Friday, 19 December, at Arsenal Keskus. Local producers will sell gourmet treats and festive essentials.

The week offers something for everyone, from classical music to fine wines and artisanal foods. All events are open to the public, with the Christmas concert providing free entry. Organisers encourage early attendance, especially for tastings and market visits.
