European Mobility Week Returns to Rheinisch-Bergisch District

The European Mobility Week (EMW) is set to return to the Rheinisch-Bergisch District from September 16th to 22nd, marking the sixth consecutive year of participation for the district. This Europe-wide initiative by the European Commission aims to promote sustainable mobility and encourage the integration of alternative mobility forms into daily life.

This year, the Rheinisch-Bergisch District and its municipalities are actively participating in the EMW, with a program co-designed locally by partners such as wupsi, RVK, ADFC Rhein-Berg, Infrastructure and Project Company Bergisch Gladbach, Nextbike GmbH, InBeCo, and the Future Network Mobility NRW. All information on new mobility in the Rheinisch-Bergisch District can be found at [specific website].

The EMW program is designed to bring local sustainable mobility offers closer to the public. A mini mobility fair and lecture about sustainable mobility options in the city of Wermelskirchen will take place on September 17th at the Bรผrgerzentrum Wermelskirchen. A tour of a fish farm and an unpacked store in Bergisch Gladbach will also be part of the EMW on the same day.

The program will kick off with a concert titled "Music meets Mobility" on the Zanders site in Bergisch Gladbach. On September 16th, Leichlingen will host the Rollator Day, specifically aimed at older or mobility-impaired people, where employees of wupsi at the bus station will provide practical tips on using the bus with a rollator. Individual consultations and targeted training on this topic will also be available on September 19th in Wermelskirchen.

The goal of the EMW is to raise awareness of sustainable mobility and bring local offers closer. No relevant information was found about the partners involved in organizing the EMW program in Rheinisch-Bergisch District besides the district municipalities, wupsi, and RVK in the provided search results. The European Commission is the organizer of the EMW campaign.

Join the Rheinisch-Bergisch District and its partners in celebrating the European Mobility Week and making a positive impact on the environment by choosing sustainable mobility options.
