Sustainability and Climate Change Awareness Film Festival dubbed as 'Cine Consciente'

The Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival (EMIFF) and the Mallorca Preservation Foundation are excited to announce a new film series called Cine Consciente. This extended series, running from September 24 to November, will continue to focus on environmental issues, both local and global.

The goal of Cine Consciente is to encourage conversation and action about pressing environmental concerns such as climate change, nature conservation, saving the oceans, and preserving Mallorca's unique scenery. The series will be held at Estudi General Lul·lià (Sant Roc 4, Palma), and will continue to offer free movies to everyone.

The Cine Consciente series will feature a variety of content, including mind-bending documentaries and stories straight from Mallorca. The directors of the films presented in the Brand MARE SEA REEL competition at Cine Consciente are Henrike Zipper, David Fedele, and Emma Crimmens.

EMIFF Director Sandra Lipski and Mallorca Preservation Director Ana Riera will present the films in the series. The partnership between EMIFF and Mallorca Preservation continues in the extended Cine Consciente series, further emphasizing environmental care.

The first screening of the extended Cine Consciente series will take place on Wednesday, September 10, at 10:00 AM at Estudi General Lul·lià (Sant Roc 4, Palma). The series invites everyone to attend the free screenings and contribute to making Mallorca and the world a greener place.
