Suspected Drug Funding: 23-Year-Old Commits Theft from Kindergarten and Dementia Wards
In a recent development, a 23-year-old Somali man has been arrested in connection with a series of burglaries in the city of Hamburg, Germany. The suspect was apprehended at SterniPark on Buxtehuder Street in Harburg.
The arrest came after an employee reported a suspicious individual to the police. Upon arrival, officers found the man emerging from a kindergarten building and took him into custody.
The man was found to be in possession of stolen goods, including jewelry and cash, as well as a stolen bicycle. It is believed that the stolen goods, including those from a senior residence on Helms Way, were used in drug-related activities.
The senior residence on Helms Way is occupied by dementia patients, making the burglary particularly concerning. The burglary that occurred at the senior residence is still under investigation.
The 23-year-old is also suspected of several other thefts and is being investigated by the burglary unit for potential involvement in further crimes.
