Hamburg Police Make Arrest in Hohenfelde Residential Burglary

In a significant development, the Hamburg Police Department has announced the arrest of a 17-year-old suspect in connection with a residential burglary that occurred in Hohenfelde between August 4th and 7th, 2025.

The initial investigations on the crime scene were conducted by the Criminal Investigation Department (LKA 26), with the Criminal Technology Department (LKA 31) securing a large number of traces. The neighbor who was taking care of the single-family home during the residents' absence noticed the break-in.

The arrest was made by officers of the State Criminal Police Office for special burglary (LKA 19/Castle) on the spot, based on the secured traces. The suspect, a 17-year-old Tunisian, is now under suspicion for the burglary in Hohenfelde.

The intruder forced entry through a window of the single-family home and made off with jewelry and electronic devices belonging to the residents. The residents were not present during the break-in.

Interestingly, this same suspect is also suspected of committing a burglary in a business district in St. Georg. The police department made an earlier arrest on August 8th, 2025, in connection with the St. Georg burglary.

The investigations by LKA 19 are ongoing in both the business burglary in St. Georg and the residential burglary in Hohenfelde. No further details about the suspect or the ongoing investigation have been provided at this time.
