Suspected Burglars Apprehended on the Spot with Aerial Assistance and Canine Support

In a recent incident, two suspected burglars were caught red-handed on Im Teelbruch street in Essen-Kettwig last night, around 11 PM on the 10th of July.

The incident unfolded when suspicious movements on the premises of a car dealership on Im Teelbruch street triggered the alarm on the video surveillance app. Two witnesses, aged 57 and 60, decided to investigate and upon arrival, they spotted four unknown individuals fleeing on foot.

The witnesses pursued two of the fleeing individuals in their car while calling the police. With the help of a police dog handler and a police helicopter, the two suspects were located. The heat-seeking camera on the helicopter helped police spot the two suspects behind a glass container on Im Teelbruch street.

The minor suspect was found in possession of suspected stolen goods, including several watches and headphones. The other two suspects managed to escape and the incident is still ongoing as they have not been apprehended.

The scene of the crime was identified: the window of an office building on Im Teelbruch street was broken, and the office rooms appeared to have been ransacked. No further details about the stolen goods or the specific office building involved in the crime have been released.

The 18-year-old suspect was temporarily arrested and taken to a police station for identification. He was then handed over to his legal guardians. The Essen Police are seeking information from the public regarding the incident. If you have any information, please contact the Essen Police at 0201/829-0 or [email protected].

It is important to note that the operator of the car dealership where the crime incident occurred is not explicitly named in the available search results. However, there was a reported incident involving two men who scratched headlights on 17 cars at a BMW dealership in Langenwetzendorf (County Greiz), but no operator name is provided.

The public is reminded to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities. Stay safe and keep your communities secure.
