Suspected arsonists escape following a blaze in Worringen's automobile scene
In the early hours of the morning on August 3rd, 2025, a BMW (5 Series) parked in the Park & Ride car park on Berrischstraße in Cologne-Roggendorf was set ablaze. The incident, which caused several thousand euros in material damage and completely destroyed the vehicle, has left the local authorities seeking the public's help in identifying the culprits.
The criminal police have yet to release any publicly available details about the two suspects involved in the arson. Sources indicate that both men were dressed in dark clothing, with one wearing a dark training jacket, dark training pants with white stripes, a cap, and a fanny pack. The other suspect was seen wearing a hoodie. Both men are estimated to be around 1.70m to 1.80m tall.
Neighbours alerted the police around 1 am after noticing suspicious noises and a burning vehicle. The suspects fled the scene towards the S-Bahnhof Worringen in the direction of Sinnersdorfer Straße.
