Supermarket roof tragedy leaves two individuals critically hurt
In an unexpected turn of events, a partial roof collapse occurred at a Rewe supermarket in Lauchringen, Baden-Württemberg, around 5:45 PM yesterday evening.
The incident took place in the checkout area of the supermarket, located within the Waldshut district. According to current knowledge, two individuals sustained serious injuries, while at least two others suffered minor injuries. Thankfully, no one is in critical condition.
The cause of the incident is still under investigation, with the police and other emergency services involved in the ongoing efforts to understand what led to the collapse.
At the time of the incident, the business was open, and the number of customers in the store is yet to be determined. A rescue helicopter was deployed at the scene to assist with the rescue efforts.
