Morrisons Introduces New Loyalty Card Perk

Supermarket giant Morrisons has announced a significant change to its Christmas Savers club, offering customers a new loyalty card perk. Starting from Monday, September 1, More Card holders who spend £10 or more in any of the 405 stores across the UK can claim a complimentary refillable hot drink in participating cafes.

The new perk, running until Sunday, September 28, includes various types of hot drinks such as cappuccinos, lattes, herbal teas, and hot chocolate. To take advantage of this offer, customers need to ensure they meet the £10 spend threshold, calculated after discounts, and then visit the Morrisons Cafe within 7 days of their shop.

Morrisons has also made it easier for customers to manage their preferences. By logging in to their More Card account and going to the Christmas Savers club section, they can choose between receiving vouchers or having them automatically loaded to their Morrisons More Card for in-store use. The deadline to select this preference is October 30, 2025.

It's important to note that this offer does not apply to takeaways, Brew Bars, Morrisons Daily convenience stores, or online orders. Customers who wish to use their vouchers online can receive an e-code.

In comparison, Tesco Clubcard, with over 17 million members in the UK, allows customers to turn points into vouchers. Sainsbury's, on the other hand, owns the Nectar card which can be used in Argos, eBay, and other shops. Lidl rewards customers with personalized vouchers that give them money off at the till.

Waitrose does not allow customers to collect points but instead offers free hot drinks and discounts off certain brands in store. Iceland gives £1 for every £20 saved with the Iceland Bonus Card.

This new initiative from Morrisons is part of a growing trend among supermarkets to offer more rewards and benefits to loyal customers. Whether you're a regular shopper or just planning your Christmas savings, this hot drink offer is a welcome addition to your shopping experience.
