Sundays are when the Old Bus Museum and Old Bus Association choose to welcome visitors

The Dresden Tram Museum is preparing for a special event on July 13, 2025. This unique day will offer visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the city's rich transport history.

Established in June 1992, the Verein Straßenbahnmuseum Dresden e.V. took over the management of historic streetcars and facilities from the DVB. Since then, the dedicated team of members has been maintaining the oldtimers, ensuring they remain in pristine condition.

On this special day, the museum's fleet of 19 motor cars and maintenance vehicles, 22 trailer cars and trailers, and even the "Berolina Train", Dresden's oldest still licensed tram, will be on display. Visitors can enjoy numerous special rides with these historic trams and buses, providing a journey back in time.

The children will not be left out, as a tram building activity has been organised in the children's room. For those with a keen interest in public transport, a tram quiz will be held, with prizes for those who know the most.

The museum's café "Sliding Stage" will be open, offering food and drinks to keep visitors energised throughout the day. The Oldie-Bus Association will also be open, adding to the variety of vehicles on show.

Admission to the museum on July 13, 2025, is five euros for adults, three euros for children aged 6 to 14, and twelve euros for a family ticket. Information about opening days, vehicles, rental, and donation options can be found at www.strassenbahnmuseum-dresden.de and www.historische-kfz-ddvb.de.

In addition to the special opening day, the museum is open from 10:00 AM to 17:00 PM every day. On this day, visitors can also try out a tram driving simulator, adding an extra layer of excitement to their visit.

The Dresden Tram Museum is a testament to the city's transport history and the dedication of its preservationists. Whether you're a history buff, a transport enthusiast, or simply looking for a fun day out, this special opening day promises to be an unforgettable experience.
