Suge Knight Reveals the True Identity of Tupac's Murderer

Rapper Suge Knight claims to know the true culprit behind the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur in Las Vegas, alleging it was not South Side Crips member Orlando Anderson, who was previously implicated in the case. Knight made these revelations to TMZ, stating that the real murderer was someone else.

Recently, Las Vegas authorities arrested 60-year-old ex-Crips member Duane "Keffe D" Davis on charges of murder with a dangerous weapon. The charges do not involve Davis actually firing the gun, but instead orchestrating the crime and providing it for use.

It was previously believed that Anderson, Davis' nephew, was the shooter. Davis has even admitted in a self-published book from 2019 that he passed the murder weapon to Anderson. Unfortunately, Anderson was killed in a different gang shooting in 1998, so the trial cannot be pursued against him.

In Nevada, murder charges can be applied to anyone involved in aiding or assisting with a crime.

Revealing the Real Murderer

Although Suge Knight told TMZ that he will never reveal the murderer's identity, another Crips member spoke out during a grand jury hearing last week.

This individual, who was a member of the gang at the time, claimed that DeAndre Smith was the actual shooter. Smith, along with Anderson, was present in the back seat of the infamous white Cadillac, and Davis sat in the passenger seat while Terrence Brown drove.

According to the informant, due to Anderson's large size (around 6'6" and over 370 pounds), he couldn't easily reach over Smith to fire the weapon.

Suge Knight's Refusal to Testify

Knight spoke to TMZ from the RJ Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego, where he is serving a 28-year prison sentence for a separate hit-and-run fatal accident. He stated that he would refuse to testify in Davis' trial if he were called upon. Knights' silence is likely due to his compassion for Davis who, despite his involvement in the crime, remains a key figure in Knight's life.

Of the six individuals involved in the shooting, only Knight and Davis are still alive. The incident is thought to be a reprisal for a fight Anderson had with Shakur's crew, members of a rival Compton, California gang known as the Mob Piru Bloods, at the MGM Grand following a Mike Tyson fight just hours before the murder occurred.

Davis was remanded to custody without bail and is expected to appear in court on Wednesday for his arraignment.

. Davis' arraignment: What was the outcome? Was Suge Knight called to testify? . The case is still ongoing, so the outcome is not yet known. Suge Knight was not called to testify during Davis' arraignment.

Murder suspect Keith “Keffe D” Davis is taken into custody on Friday, Sept. 29.
