Sudden application of the emergency brake by a passenger
A road accident on the B9 in Rheinhessen on Sunday evening has left three individuals slightly injured. The incident occurred around 21:00, and the B9 was closed for approximately an hour due to the collision.

According to the police, the passenger, a 58-year-old individual, is said to have been the cause of the accident. The passenger is accused of dangerous interference with road traffic, as he suddenly pulled the handbrake lever while driving, causing the rear wheels of the vehicle to lock. This action led to the driver losing control of the car, which collided with a wall in Trechtingshausen.
The 19-year-old driver and three other occupants of the car were taken to nearby hospitals for examination. Fortunately, the passenger remained unharmed in the accident. A blood sample was taken from the passenger for further investigation.
