Young Athlete Finn Riemer Completes Remarkable Ultramarathon

In an inspiring display of determination and resilience, 18-year-old Finn Riemer from Bad Cannstatt has completed an incredible feat โ€“ running 24 ultramarathons without a rest day, covering a total of 1127 kilometers and conquering 8379 meters of elevation.

Riemer's motivation for the challenge was to test his own limits and inspire young people to pursue their dreams and believe in themselves. His motto during the run was "Unlock Your Potential."

The young athlete's interest in challenging feats was sparked by his experience as a judoka at KSV Esslingen. He made it to the top 16 in his weight class in Germany, a testament to his dedication and talent.

During his run, Riemer burned approximately 91,700 calories. For about 400 kilometers, he ran alone with 15 kilograms of luggage on his back. His two best friends, David and Mervan, accompanied him by bike for part of the run, while his girlfriend Lena and his aunt joined him for parts as well.

The unique run took place between July 23 and August 15 of this year, starting from the southernmost point of Germany in Oberstdorf and ending at the northernmost point on Sylt. Riemer's choice to undertake this challenge was a means of promotion for his company NextGen Supplements, as Jรผrgen "Cheasy" Trzcinski, a former footballer finding his way back to life after a stroke through endurance sports, also did.

Trzcinski, however, has not shared whether he considered giving up during his run. Sport will continue to play a central role in Riemer's life, and he expects new challenges to arise. After his return from Australia, Riemer plans to resume judo training, participate in an Ironman, and may consider running the length of another country.

After finishing his run, Riemer had a celebratory meal in Westerland, following a 10-kilometer hike to the nearest bus stop. Despite the physical toll, his spirit remains undeterred, a shining example of the power of determination and the pursuit of dreams.
