HTW Dresden Introduces Multi-Purpose CampusCard for Winter Semester 2025/26

HTW Dresden is streamlining student life with the introduction of the new CampusCard, set to replace the Emeal card and serve as a one-stop solution for various university services.

The CampusCard, available in both digital and physical forms, will function as a student ID, library card, access card for doors and barriers, and payment card for Student Services Dresden.

Starting from the winter semester 2025/26, students will be able to manage their ID and related services conveniently from their mobile device via the digital CampusCard. The physical chip card will continue to be available alongside its digital counterpart.

The digital student ID on the HTWD mobile app will display the current registration status, providing students with greater convenience and flexibility. This digital version may also facilitate easier access to various university facilities and services, such as museums and cinemas. However, it's important to note that acceptance outside the university is not guaranteed.

To use the CampusCard, students will first have to re-register for the winter semester 2025/26. The re-registration period is from 30.06.2025 to 25.07.2025. Students are also requested to check and update their address in the QIS portal if necessary: www.qis.htw-dresden.de.

Mass production of the CampusCard will start soon, with all re-registered students for the winter semester 2025/26 receiving their cards by post.
