In a series of events that transpired over the weekend, a high-speed chase through several cities in the Ruhr region resulted in a crash, causing significant property damage and injuries.

The incident began when the police attempted to stop a stolen car, lacking the necessary lights, in Bochum. The car, driven by a 16-year-old individual from Bochum, was reported to have disregarded multiple red lights during the chase.

As the chase continued, the car made its way through Witten, where it collided with a tree. The driver, who was unharmed and wearing a helmet, was taken to a hospital for treatment. Two 14-year-old and 18-year-old females from Dortmund, along with a 20-year-old passenger from Bochum, sustained minor injuries. The estimated property damage from the crash is over 20,000 euros. The car, which had stolen license plates from another vehicle, was reported to have been driven significantly above the speed limit.

An initial alcohol test showed a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of 0.42% for the driver. A blood sample was taken for further testing.

The police are seeking witnesses and information about the accident. The stolen car's specific identity and origin are not disclosed in the available search results. The incident is under investigation, including charges for driving without a license and auto theft.
