Weekend Trends Review - Strengthening union prevails over AfD on Sunday, according to trend
The Bundestag, Germany's federal parliament, has witnessed a change in the positions of its political parties, according to a recent survey. The exact timeframe for when the results were obtained, however, remains unspecified.
The Union party, which includes the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and Christian Social Union (CSU), has regained the strongest position in the latest survey. The SPD, a part of the federal government, is in second place with 15% in the survey.
The opposition parties Greens and The Left are in third place, each securing 11% in the latest survey. Notably, the candidate who runs for the CDU and achieved third position with three percent of the votes in the "Sunday Trend" poll is Friedrich Merz.
Other parties are predicted to receive 5% in the latest survey, an increase of one percentage point. This includes the FDP, predicted to have 3%, and the Greens, who are expected to maintain their 5% share. Unfortunately, the survey indicates that the BSW would not be represented in the Bundestag with 4% in the latest survey.
The survey results indicate that the Union party, SPD, Greens, The Left, BSW, and FDP are among the parties represented in the Bundestag. This suggests a dynamic and competitive political landscape in Germany's federal parliament.
