Street Brawl at Augustplatz: Two 15-year-olds in the hospital after clashes with foreign youths
In an unsettling incident that took place on Tuesday evening around 7 pm, three teenage boys were viciously attacked at Leipzig's Augustusplatz. The attackers were a group of 15 to 20 foreign teenagers, as confirmed by the police.
The boys, aged 15, were pursued and beaten further inside tram line 32. Despite the attack, nothing was stolen from them. The group threatened the boys and demanded a pullover worth approximately 300 euros. However, the boys refused to hand over the pullover, leading to a physical attack.
The attackers shouted derogatory slurs during the robbery, reportedly shouting "f***king Germans." The boys were more severely injured than initially reported, and they were treated on the scene.
Fortunately, an unknown woman and man intervened during the boys' ordeal, providing some measure of assistance.
