Streaming of 'EA Sports Madden NFL Cast' on Peacock

On December 21, football fans are in for a unique treat as NBC Sports and Peacock present the first-of-its-kind "EA Sports Madden NFL Cast" of the Houston Texans-Kansas City Chiefs game. This innovative broadcast, produced by Steve Greenberg and directed by Geoff Butler, aims to redefine how fans experience football.

Henry Leverette, a pro Madden NFL player and the first to reach $1 million in career earnings, will join the production team. He will be joined by a dedicated commentary team, including Paul Burmeister, Kurt Benkert, and Chad Ochocinco. Notably, Ochocinco will serve as a real-time player "ratings adjuster" in the Madden NFL Cast.

The Madden NFL Cast will feature live EA Sports Madden NFL 25 graphics, route trees, play cards, and player ratings. These elements will be blended with live game action, creating an immersive experience for viewers. The broadcast will honor the legacy of the Madden NFL game franchise, as stated by the NFL executive vice president, media distribution.

The NFL's Next Gen Stats and GeniusIQ will enable the transformation of football strategy, information, and IQ for viewers. Eleven players on the Texans and Chiefs rosters have a Madden rating above 90, with Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce of Kansas City (both 99) and Houston's Laremy Tunsil (95) and Joe Mixon (93) being the highest-rated.

The Madden NFL Cast marks a new milestone as Peacock's first sports alt-cast. Hans Schroeder, NFL executive vice president of media distribution, expressed excitement about the Madden NFL Cast, calling it an entirely new way to experience an NFL game on Peacock. Andrea Hopelain, general manager and senior vice president of publishing at EA Sports, stated that the Madden NFL Cast is a groundbreaking step in bringing fans closer to the game they love.

Steve Bornstein, president of North America at Genius Sports, expressed delight about working on the first-of-its-kind Madden branded alternate broadcast. The Madden NFL Cast production is done in conjunction with the NFL, EA Sports, and Genius Sports.

The Madden NFL Cast will air alongside the traditional telecast of the Texans-Chiefs game on NBC, Peacock, and Universo. This innovative broadcast aims to engage a new generation of fans by merging the excitement of live NFL action with the immersive possibilities of augmented reality.

The Madden NFL video game series is named for John Madden, a longtime NFL TV analyst and Hall of Fame Oakland Raiders coach. The Madden NFL Cast will blend live game action with animated elements from the "Madden NFL" video-game series, offering a truly unique viewing experience.
