Stolen Vehicle Apprehended on A81 in Ilsfeld, District of Heilbronn, Resulting in Minor Injuries to Three Officers
A high-speed chase on the A81 motorway towards Würzburg ended in chaos on Saturday morning, with a stolen Ford C-Max colliding with two patrol cars and causing significant damage to road signs, guardrails, and resulting in injuries to several individuals.
According to initial investigations, the Ford driver was under the influence of intoxicating substances at the time of the incident. Furthermore, it was found that the driver did not possess a valid driver's license.
The incident resulted in the slight injuries of three police officers, one policewoman, and a 16-year-old passenger in the Ford. The passenger was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, while the other injured officers received medical attention at the scene.
Fortunately, no other road users were endangered or injured in the incident. The total material damage was estimated to be around 38,000 euros.
The Ford driver will be brought before the examining magistrate today. The name of the investigating judge has yet to be disclosed.
