In Leipzig, a vintage camper van, a red 1986 VW T380 with the license plate L-OI 999H, was stolen between September 2nd and 4th, 2025, in the Lindenau district. The camper van was last seen on Tuesday in the same area.

The stolen camper van is worth 15,000 euros and is currently being investigated as a serious crime. No information has been provided about who is responsible for the theft.

On a separate note, a speed check was conducted on Max-Liebermann-Straße, Leipzig (Möckern), on Thursday, between 17:00 and 19:15. The speed limit during the check was set at 50 km/h. Nearly 16 vehicles were caught exceeding the speed limit, but no information was provided about the driver who was clocked at 176 km/h on the B176.

A 20-year-old motorcyclist was the top offender during the speed checks. She was caught speeding on a Kawasaki and was clocked at 105 km/h. As a result of her offense, she will be required to attend a mandatory driving course. Her probationary period will also be extended by two years, and she now faces a fine of 560 euros, two points on her license, and a two-month driving ban.

A separate speed check was conducted on the B176 near Bockwitzer See on Friday, but no further details were provided. No information was provided about any traffic violations recorded at the Bockwitzer See speed check or who is responsible for the control and execution of speed checks on Max-Liebermann-Straße in Leipzig on September 4, 2025.

The camper van was parked on a lot at Karl-Heine-Str./Erich-Zeigner-Allee when it was stolen, and it is not mentioned that it was involved in any speed checks or traffic violations mentioned in previous facts. The theft of the camper van occurred separately from the speed checks on Max-Liebermann-Straße and B176.

The stolen camper van is a rare vintage vehicle, and its recovery is being sought by the authorities. It is advised for any witnesses or those with information regarding the whereabouts of the camper van to contact the local police.
