In the city of Fulda, a series of incidents have taken place over the weekend, leaving local authorities scrambling to investigate.

On Saturday night, a sign indicating a grocery store was set on fire in Bardostraße. The fire was reported around 3:50 AM on Sunday morning. Meanwhile, a green Peugeot moped with registration number 328-BLF was stolen between 10:00 AM and 11:45 PM on Friday near the train station in Neuhof.

An assault occurred in Meistergasse on the night leading to Sunday, around 2:40 AM. In a separate incident, a blue small-engine moped with registration number 748-AHL was stolen between 1:30 PM and 6:00 PM on Saturday in the street "Auf der Hute".

In a more unusual turn of events, a Marian statue was stolen from a grave on the cemetery in Hattenhof, Neuhof, between 7:00 PM on Wednesday and 2:30 PM on Friday. The estimated value of the stolen statue is around 1,000 euros.

The Osthessen Police Presidium (Polizeipräsidium Südosthessen), based in Hanau, is handling the investigations. The public is asked to provide any information they might have regarding these incidents. On a related note, the roof antenna of a grey Seat Cupra Ateca was damaged in Adenauerstraße, Fulda, on Friday. Both official license plates FD-XN 584 were stolen from a grey Toyota in Steinauer Straße between the night to Saturday.

A police pursuit resulted in the arrest of a 24-year-old driver in Fulda on Sunday evening, around 11:05 PM. The assailant in the assault in Meistergasse is described as a male, middle-aged, with black hair in two braids, a seven-day beard, and wearing dark clothing - a black jacket with a fur collar.

The driver is suspected of prohibited motor racing, and possible victims of his driving style and witnesses who can provide useful information are asked to contact the Osthessen Police Presidency. Unknown persons attempted to break into a logistics hall in the Schlitzer Straße, Großenlüder, between Friday and Saturday, but failed due to a locked door.
