Stefan Raab is set to launch a new television program featuring collaborations with Elton.
In a significant development for German television, renowned entertainer Stefan Raab and his long-time associate Elton (Alexander Duszat) are set to join forces for a new quiz show on RTL. The show, titled "The Unbeatable Quiz Team," will premiere this winter, both on RTL+ and linear TV.
Raab, known for his popular shows "TV Total" and "Beat the Raab" on ProSieben, ended a long screen break and returned to RTL about a year ago. Elton, who gained fame as a show intern in Raab's ProSieben show "TV Total" and later became a TV moderator, has launched several shows on RTL's competitor ProSieben before his move to RTL.
The new show, "Die Unzerquizbaren" ("The Indomitable"), will see Raab and Elton forming an almost unbeatable quiz duo, competing against candidates for up to 100,000 euros. The format of the show will be an "ultimate quiz battle," where the invincible entertainment duo will go head-to-head with five candidates.
Laura Wontorra will moderate the show, ensuring a smooth and engaging flow of questions and answers. Raab's return to television in the autumn of 2024 is considered a significant event in German TV, and the upcoming show is expected to attract a large audience.
Interestingly, Raab has signed a five-year exclusive contract with RTL, signalling a long-term partnership between the entertainer and the network. The show's premiere on RTL+ marks the beginning of a new weekly format, with an autumn start date.
In the past, Raab has moderated "Beat the Star" on ProSieben for eight years, but lost the moderation in April 2024. Elton, on the other hand, is known for his career as a moderator and is famous for asking numerous quiz questions. However, an earlier entertainment quiz competition show did not meet expectations and was ended after less than a year.
With the upcoming "The Unbeatable Quiz Team," Raab and Elton aim to create a quiz show that is both entertaining and challenging, promising a thrilling experience for viewers in prime time. The show will be broadcast in prime time and will premiere this winter on linear TV, with an earlier debut on RTL+.
