Statements Released by the Goslar Police Inspectorate on August 21, 2025
A serious traffic accident occurred on federal highway 82 near the junctions Astfeld and Langelsheim in Goslar on Thursday afternoon. The route was closed in both directions until 5:00 PM due to the accident.
The inquiry into the incident originated from the news agency "news aktuell". The Police Inspection Goslar is currently handling the case, with the Duty and Patrol Service leading the investigation. An expert has been requested to clarify the course of the accident, in coordination with the Public Prosecutor's Office in Braunschweig.
The vehicles involved in the accident were completely destroyed. Three individuals were injured in the collision, including the driver of an Audi from Einbeck and the two occupants of a Skoda with a Goslar registration. The current condition of the injured individuals is not known at this time, as no further information has been provided.
The injured individuals were taken to different hospitals for medical treatment. The final accident investigation is still ongoing, and no information has been given about the reasons for the collision between the two passenger cars.
