State road collision results in severe passenger injuries
On Sunday afternoon, a 65-year-old motorcyclist was travelling with a passenger in a rural area near Cham, Bavaria. The incident occurred in a left curve, where the motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle and veered off the road to the right.
The motorcyclist collided with the guardrail, resulting in the motorcycle sustaining approximately 1,000 euros worth of damage. The motorcyclist and his passenger were both injured in the accident.
Initial police findings suggest a driving error as the likely cause of the accident. The motorcyclist sustained minor injuries, while the passenger was seriously injured.
The motorcyclist was first taken to Cham Hospital for initial treatment, but due to the severity of the passenger's injuries, they were later airlifted to Regensburg University Hospital by helicopter.
Unfortunately, the search results do not provide information about the pilot of the helicopter who flew the injured passenger from the motorcycle accident to Regensburg.
This incident serves as a reminder to all road users to exercise caution, especially when navigating sharp curves and at high speeds. We hope for a speedy recovery for both the motorcyclist and his passenger.
