Star Wars' top-tier series gets a star-filled re-evaluation podcast debut
In the galaxy far, far away, the main voice actors of the beloved animated series, Star Wars Rebels, are reuniting for a special rewatch podcast. Hosted by Jon Lee Brody, the "Pod of Rebellion" podcast will feature Vanessa Marshall, Tiya Sircar, and Taylor Gray, the voices behind Hera Syndulla, Sabine Wren, and Ezra Bridger, respectively.
Created by Dave Filoni, Star Wars Rebels first aired seven years ago and ran for four seasons. This series introduced fans to new characters such as Kanan Jarrus, voiced by Freddie Prinze Jr., and Zeb Orrelios. Filoni's work on Star Wars Rebels, as well as his earlier work on The Clone Wars, has been instrumental in deepening fans' appreciation for iconic characters like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker.
The podcast, set to start on March 11, will be available on platforms such as I Heart and Apple. However, it is not yet clear if Filoni himself will appear as a guest on the podcast. Nor is it specified if Marshall, Sircar, and Gray will bring the podcast to Star Wars Celebration.
Star Wars Rebels was known for interweaving its new characters with Star Wars icons like Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, and Ahsoka Tano. The series concluded seven years ago, but with the "Pod of Rebellion" podcast, fans can revisit the galaxy of Star Wars Rebels and delve deeper into the stories and characters that made it a fan favourite.
It's important to note that no new information about future Marvel, Star Wars, Star Trek, DC Universe, or Doctor Who releases is provided in this announcement. For those eager to join the Rebellion once more, the "Pod of Rebellion" offers a chance to relive the adventures of the Rebels and explore the galaxy far, far away.
