St. Konrad's guards' faction revels in a border checkpoint ceremony
Get ready for an action-packed week in Viersen Mitte, as the local district shooting festival gets underway! The festival, organised by the St. Konrad Schuetzen guild, will be filled with music, parades, and traditional events.
The festivities commence on Saturday at 6:30 PM with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial. The main day, however, is Sunday. Shooting festivities will begin with the festive mass at 8:15 AM, followed by the Grand Parade at 10 AM, starting from the chapel.
Julian I. Hardt, the District King of Viersen Mitte and leader of the Brave Jonges, will be the centre of attention. The queen of the shooting king is not publicly specified in the available information. However, Sandra Hardt and Celine Hardt are the ministers, and Lina Frings serves as Queen by King Julian's side.
The highlight of Sunday's events is the Grand Tattoo at 12 PM. Afterwards, a musical breakfast follows, with "Die Lohbachtaler" playing, supported by DSDS candidate Olga Tiedemann.
On Monday, the Schuetzen biwak takes place at the guild house at noon. The storming of the king's castle occurs at 2 PM, traditionally ending with the royal family's involuntary swim in the Niers.
The evening will be filled with the "Grenzweger Summer Party" featuring DJ Roland Zetzen. The "Roland Bruggen Party Band" will play at the King's Gala Ball, and honorary dances will start at 10:30 PM during the event.
The week's celebrations conclude with the "Small Parade" at 7:15 PM, leading into the "Ball of the District King." Marie Meskes, the Princess of the Diocesan Association Aachen and Jungschuetzenprinzessin, will also be present.
So, mark your calendars and join the fun in Viersen Mitte! This district shooting festival promises to be an unforgettable experience filled with tradition, music, and camaraderie.
