Sportradar Launches Playradar to Merge Casino Games with Live Sports Data
Sportradar is expanding into casino-style gaming with a new venture called Playradar. The project will mix live and historical sports data with casino mechanics to create fresh betting experiences. Former Playtech Live CEO Edo Haitin will lead the initiative, bringing over 20 years of industry experience to the role. Playradar aims to develop hybrid games that blend real sporting events with casino formats. The lineup will include slots, table games, and crash games, all scheduled for release throughout 2026. A live prediction product is also in the works.
The new products will roll out through Sportradar's existing network of licensed operators. These partners span North America, the UK, and Latin America, where the company already provides sports betting solutions. Sportradar CEO Carsten Koerl described the move as a natural step, building on the company's current offerings.
Responsible gaming measures will form a core part of Playradar's design. The venture seeks to tap into growing demand for sports-driven casino content. However, details on how the integration will affect Sportradar's existing customers remain unclear. Playradar's games will launch progressively in 2026, targeting markets where Sportradar already operates. The initiative combines sports data with casino gameplay, marking a strategic shift for the company. Responsible gaming features will be embedded across all new products.
