Speakers Announced for FUEL Manchester Conference 2025 (First Four Revealed)

In the vibrant city of Manchester, a significant event is set to take place on October 9, 2025. FUEL Manchester 2025, an occasion designed to foster business growth for startups and scaleups, will be held at No.1 Circle Square, Oxford Road.

This event, supported by GM Business Growth Hub, Bruntwood SciTech, and S&W, promises to be a hub of innovation and collaboration. Bruntwood SciTech, the UK's leading developer of city-wide innovation ecosystems, will be hosting the event, specialising in environments and workspaces that empower science, tech, and innovative companies.

The day will begin with a breakfast panel, where attendees will have the opportunity to listen to insightful discussions. Among the speakers at this panel will be Chris Maguire, an award-winning executive editor, and Steve Oliver, co-founder of MusicMagpie. Oliver, who was featured on the "Northern Leaders" list in 2024, will share his experiences and insights from the world of business.

Nicola Weedall, founder and CEO of invoice platform Hydr, will also be a speaker at the breakfast panel. Hydr, which helps SMEs with cashflow, was featured on the GM Rising Stars of Business list this year. Weedall, who was recently highlighted for facing sexist behavior over the years, will undoubtedly bring a unique perspective to the discussion.

Lisa Morton, another speaker at the breakfast panel, is a PR legend and a Northern Leader. Morton, who founded Roland Dransfield in 1996 from her kitchen table, has built a successful career in the industry.

Jack Maher, head of flexible workspace at Bruntwood SciTech, will also be present. Maher oversees a 400-strong innovation community based in Bruntwood SciTech's Manchester workspaces, including No.3 Circle Square.

MusicMagpie, a company that started in a Stockport garage in 2007 as a service that allowed people to trade in their CDs, DVDs, and games for cash, will also have a presence at the event. The company pivoted its offer towards phones and gadgets and was floated on the London Stock Exchange's junior AIM market in April 2021. Steve Oliver, co-founder of MusicMagpie, will be a speaker at the breakfast panel.

Companies interested in joining the masterclasses at FUEL Manchester 2025 can contact editor Jonathan Symcox. There are 25 spaces available, and they are filling up rapidly.

Registration is available for the breakfast panel and networking at FUEL Manchester 2025. S&W, a company that supports fast-growing businesses and founders, offering comprehensive services across accountancy, tax, and advisory services, will also be present at the event.
