Jedson Fernandes, the versatile midfielder currently plying his trade at Turkish club Besiktas, has caught the attention of not one, but three European heavyweights - Zenit, Besiktas, and Spartak, according to recent reports.

Fernandes, a product of Benfica's youth academy, has had an impressive tenure at Besiktas since joining them during the summer transfer window in 2022. In his time with the Istanbul-based club, he has showcased his talents in 131 matches across various tournaments, scoring a total of 18 goals and providing 16 assists.

The 24-year-old Portuguese midfielder's move to Besiktas was first reported by Championship, and his transfer value, which includes bonuses, is estimated at €20 million, with an additional €5 million in potential bonuses. According to the same source, transfer market portal Transfermrkt values Fernandes at €18 million.

However, contrary to reports linking him with a move to Spartak, Besiktas has denied any negotiations regarding the transfer of Fernandes.

Fernandes' career in football began at Benfica, before he moved to Tottenham and then Galatasaray. His journey in Turkey, though, has been his most successful to date, as he has proven to be a vital cog in Besiktas's midfield.

His contract with Besiktas runs until the end of June 2027, but with Zenit expressing interest in his services, it remains to be seen whether Fernandes will continue his journey in Istanbul or move on to pastures new.
