In the fast-paced world of today, where consumer goods seem to be designed with a built-in expiration date, promoting a cycle of constant and accelerated consumption, the Citroën C15 stands out as a beacon of durability. This iconic van, popular in Spain during the 80s and 90s, has left an indelible mark thanks to its resilience and longevity.

Pedro Bastida, a mechanic from the Vehicle Technical Inspection (ITV), and a content creator known on social media as 'itvdeltiktok', has recently published a video highlighting the Citroën C15's enduring qualities. The video, accessible only to registered users or subscribers, showcases the vehicle's robustness and resilience, attributes that are particularly evident in its design and construction.

The Citroën C15 was built to last, with a focus on durability that sets it apart from many modern vehicles. Its rear suspension, for instance, is described as super durable, super robust, and super effective, ensuring continued functionality for many years. The vehicle's body, made primarily of iron with no plastic parts that could easily break, adds to its longevity.

Bastida notes that the Citroën C15 is still functioning well, with parts that are a good size for its weight and power. He emphasises the robustness of the vehicle, stating that it doesn't usually have any issues. In fact, if a Citroën C15 was bought back then, it probably still has fewer problems than a car bought in 2020.

The Citroën C15's design and construction were such that it was designed to last as long as possible without breaking or causing problems. This reality is particularly evident in the automotive industry, where advances in technology and production have led to a significant decrease in the durability of products compared to those of past generations.

Pedro Bastida concludes that the Citroën C15 is a simple but durable car, which is why he considers it the most indestructible vehicle in Spain. The video published by Bastida on social media highlights this indestructible vehicle, providing a reminder of a time when quality and durability were prioritised in the design and manufacture of consumer goods. The Citroën C15, as described by Bastida, is an example of durable engineering that continues to function flawlessly, even after decades of use.
