Spain aims to assert itself in the Eurobasket tournament with a victory against Bosnia.

Bosnia and Herzegovina made a strong start in EuroBasket 2025, with a collective performance that saw five players score over ten points in their debut match against Cyprus (91-64). Adis Beciragic, the 55-year-old head coach of the Bosnian team, has been instrumental in guiding the team to significant successes, including qualification to the EuroBasket knockout stage.

Meanwhile, Spain suffered a disappointing loss in their tournament opener against Georgia (83-69). The Spanish team will be looking to bounce back when they face Bosnia this Saturday at the Spyros Kyprianou Arena in Limassol, Cyprus. The match is scheduled for 20:30.

Juancho Hernangómez, a standout player in Spain's debut, admitted that the team had underestimated their opponents. However, Bosnia will need to improve their defensive performance, as they scored their lowest points since August in their debut match.

Dzanan Musa, a former Real Madrid player, is not playing for Bosnia due to an abdominal injury. But Jusuf Nurkic, a Bosnian star playing for the Charlotte Hornets, scored 18 points in their debut and poses a threat to Spain. Other Bosnian players to watch out for include John Roberson, Alibegovic, and Atic, with Atic playing in Spain for Rio Breogan.

The match is crucial for both teams, as the top four teams from each group advance in the tournament. Bosnia needs to win to increase their chances of advancing, while Spain needs a victory to halt their five-game losing streak.

Fans in the UK can watch the match live on La 2 and the website Play. Spain's next matches are against Cyprus, Italy, and Greece, with the match against Greece featuring Antetokounmpo. Georgia out-rebounded Spain 46 to 29 in the debut match, and Spain scored only 69 points, which was deemed insufficient to win. No Spanish player scored more than 13 points in their debut match.

This promises to be an exciting encounter between two teams hungry for a victory. Don't miss it!
