Southeast Asia Invites Applications for Siriraj x MIT Hacking Medicine 2025: A Regional Initiative Seeking Novel Solutions to Preeminent Healthcare Issues
The applications for Siriraj × MIT Hacking Medicine 2025, a major health innovation conference, are now open for participants across Southeast Asia. This event, hosted by Siriraj Hospital and MIT Hacking Medicine, will take place at Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand from October 31 to November 2, 2025.
The theme for this year's conference is "AI Today, Transforming Tomorrow's Healthcare." The event aims to bring together multidisciplinary professionals to develop innovative solutions in medical treatment and healthcare services.
Prof. Zen Chu, Faculty Director of MIT Hacking Medicine, is encouraging applications from professionals throughout Southeast Asia. This year's conference will feature keynote addresses by distinguished international speakers, including Prof. Eric Grimson, Chancellor for Academic Advancement at MIT, Prof. Michael McConnell of Stanford University, and Prof. Jorge Cardoso of King's College London.
The conference will also feature a group of mentors and judges from medicine, technology, and entrepreneurship. These mentors and judges will support participants in refining their ideas into tangible innovations.
The event will focus on addressing two major challenge areas: Chronic diseases and Mental health. A total of USD 15,000 in prizes will be awarded to the top nine teams with the most impactful solutions.
Three outstanding participants from Siririraj × MIT Hacking Medicine 2025 will be awarded Golden Tickets to join MIT Grand Hack 2026 in Boston, USA.
Siriraj Hospital will host a major health innovation conference on November 4, 2025, under the same theme, "AI Today, Transforming Tomorrow's Healthcare." This event is part of a three-year agreement between Siriraj Hospital and MIT Hacking Medicine to continue organizing the hackathon through 2027.
