South African Siblings Extend Long-standing Record Against New Zealand A in Three Successful Games Spanning Four Centuries

In a thrilling turn of events, the world of cricket has been abuzz with the outstanding performances of Jordan Hermann and his brother Rubin Hermann.

Jordan Hermann recently signed a century in the third unofficial One Day International (ODI) against New Zealand, setting a new career-best of 186 not out. This was his second consecutive century for South Africa A and the fourth in List A cricket, reaching the milestone off 102 balls.

The century came at a crucial time, as South Africa A found themselves in a precarious position, losing their first wicket in the second over. However, Jordan Hermann's heroics, coupled with a 159-run partnership with Rivaldo Moonsamy for the second wicket, helped the team recover and ultimately secure a victory.

Interestingly, Rubin Hermann was also in action during the series, scoring a career-best 13 runs in the third unofficial ODI. In the first unofficial ODI, he made a significant contribution with a career-best 158 not out.

On the franchise front, Rubin Hermann has been pre-signed by the Paarl Royals for the upcoming SA20 season, while Jordan Hermann will be up for grabs in the player auction on September 9.

The brothers' success didn't go unnoticed, as Jordan Hermann's unbeaten 101 in the previous match played a crucial role in South Africa A's win. In the second unofficial ODI, Rubin Hermann scored 109 runs, further solidifying their impact on the team.

Marques Ackerman, the South Africa A captain, won the toss and chose to bat first in the second unofficial ODI. Jordan Hermann, who was hit on the forearm by the first delivery he faced from Ben Lister, bravely battled through the pain to deliver a stellar performance.

Meanwhile, Rubin Hermann was the first wicket to fall, holing out to Adi Ashok inside the ring. Rivaldo Moonsamy made 73 runs in the match, providing valuable support to Jordan Hermann's century.

As the cricket season continues, the Hermann brothers are undoubtedly ones to watch, with their impressive performances setting high expectations for the upcoming SA20 season.
