In the world of battery technology and smartphones, a Berlin-based startup named Little Sun is making waves with its upcoming product, the Little Sun Charge. This innovative solar charger, developed by a team that includes Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson and Danish engineer Frederik Ottesen, is set to revolutionise the way we power our devices.

Little Sun, known for its successful Little Sun LED solar lamp, which has sold over 100,000 units worldwide, is now focusing on the development of the Little Sun Charge. This movable, charged solar charging device can potentially charge laptops, smartphones, and other small electronic devices with sunlight.

According to Felix Hallwachs, the CEO of Little Sun, the Little Sun Charge can charge a smartphone in five hours with sunlight. It can also serve as a power source for other small electronic devices, making it a versatile and eco-friendly charging solution.

The Little Sun Charge is currently under production, and the Kickstarter campaign for the device has raised more than 166,000 €, surpassing the initial target of 50,000 € for production. The campaign still has over three weeks to run, and all supporters are expected to receive their Little Sun Charge devices in March.
