Spring Break excursions took a different turn for Holy Cross' softball team as they journeyed west to Missoula rather than partying in Punta Cana. With a record of 2-6, the Crusaders were eager to create a stir during the Montana Softball Classic, squaring off against numerous opponents.

Sophomore Jenna Alesandrelli and Anna Brait shone in this game, each recording impressive batting performances. Alesandrelli batted 2-for-3 with a home run, while Brait had a 3-for-4 batting performance, including 2 RBIs and another home run.

Senior Megan Yurchick and freshman Ava Gambichler also contributed to the team's early lead against Northern Illinois University, each driving in 2 runs. However, the game took a turn when Northern Illinois University scored a walk-off bunt in the 6th inning, resulting in a loss for Holy Cross.

The team's fortunes didn't improve much in their next game against Montana. Despite a valiant effort, Holy Cross lost to Montana by a score of 7-12, despite trailing 7-1 early. However, Sophomore Ali Sniegocki managed to secure a game-winning RBI single in the first game against Montana.
