The Canadian brand Arc'teryx has unveiled its latest addition to the Norvan series, the Norvan 4 Nivalis. This winter-focused trail running shoe is designed to conquer harsh winter conditions with precision and style.

The Norvan 4 Nivalis is built for Arc'teryx's signature "Precision Fit," offering a snug fit across the width with minimal toe room. This shoe boasts a streamlined silhouette, despite its weather protection features, making it a stylish choice for winter trail runners.

The Norvan 4 Nivalis features a lug height of 6mm and a drop of 6mm, favouring responsiveness over maximum cushioning. The dual-density midsole construction, with 55C compressed EVA, provides a balance between cushioning and stability.

The shoe's upper is made with GORE-TEX Invisible Fit, creating a sealed environment without the typical plastic-bag feel. This, combined with an integrated over-ankle gaiter, ensures a water-resistant design that keeps snow at bay.

The Vibram Megagrip outsole, equipped with Litebase technology, offers exceptional traction on mud and snow. The single-pull lacing system keeps everything tidy and prevents lace tangles, ensuring a smooth running experience.

The Norvan 4 Nivalis is compatible with carbide spikes and microspikes, transforming it into an ice-running machine for those challenging winter terrains. With a weight of 10.76oz per shoe (men's size 9.5), it strikes the perfect balance between lightweight agility and robust durability.

Available in four colorways, the Norvan 4 Nivalis retails at $250. This specialized version of the Norvan series, with its focus on technical integration and fit precision, is undoubtedly a game-changer for winter trail running.
