New Azimut Grande 44 Metri Trideck Unveiled: Innovative Design and Sustainable Technology

Italian yacht manufacturer Azimut has unveiled its latest creation, the Grande 44 Metri Trideck, set to be the company's biggest model yet. Despite the hull number being two years away from completion, five units have already been sold off-plan, demonstrating the strong demand for this innovative vessel.

The Grande 44 Metri Trideck boasts a unique dual mode hull, developed by Pierluigi Ausonio and Azimut's in-house team. This design claims to deliver efficient fast-displacement running at slow to medium speeds, ensuring a smooth journey even in choppy waters. At higher speeds, the yacht will transition to full planing performance. A hull vane foil below the transom, developed by Dutch naval architects, Van Oossanen, will be included. This feature is designed to generate additional lift, improving speed and fuel efficiency.

The composite construction of the Grande 44 Metri Trideck features carbon fibre in the upper structures, contributing to its lightweight yet robust design. The helm station is positioned on a semi-enclosed fourth deck, offering an unobstructed view of the surrounding seas.

The interior design of the yacht is the work of M2Atelier. The upper deck is designed to be a private owners' deck, while the master suite, which is enormous and has direct access to its own aft terrace, promises a luxurious retreat.

The orders for the new Azimut boat model were placed by private clients before its completion. The exterior design of the 143ft 10in (43.85m) Azimut is by Alberto Mancin. The all-new Grande 44 Metri Trideck will also feature a mild hybrid system capable of handling zero-emissions mode for hotel loads when anchoring overnight, further enhancing its eco-friendly credentials.

The Azimut Grande 44 Metri Trideck's upper deck is designed to be a private owners' deck, offering a secluded space for relaxation and entertainment. The hull vane foil, a key feature of the yacht, is designed to generate additional lift, improving speed and fuel efficiency.

In conclusion, the Azimut Grande 44 Metri Trideck promises to be a game-changer in the yachting industry, combining innovative design, sustainable technology, and luxurious comfort. With its unique dual mode hull, composite construction, and state-of-the-art powertrain, this yacht is set to redefine the standards of fast-displacement yachting.
