On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, a significant discovery was made at the Hellweg South rest area in Geseke, district of Soest. The Bielefeld customs office, through its control unit for transport routes (KEV) from Anröchte, uncovered a wide range of different sedatives and approximately 2,800 Euros in cash during a check on a Polish-registered estate car.

During a closer inspection of the vehicle, approximately 200 grams of various drugs such as amphetamines, ecstasy, LSD, crystal meth, marijuana, and hashish were found. Both the driver and passenger initially denied having sedatives, cannabis products, or large amounts of cash.
