German Federal Police Arrest Turkmen Smuggler in Frankfurt (Oder)
In a significant development, a 29-year-old Turkmen national was arrested by the Federal Police in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany, for his involvement in the smuggling of five Afghan nationals. The arrest occurred on a city bridge in the early hours of Wednesday, during temporary border controls conducted by the Federal Police.

The Regional Court in Frankfurt (Oder) sentenced the Turkmen to a prison term of two years and six months in July 2023.
