Smuggler Kim Hall, caught transporting a £15 million cocaine shipment, avoids a prolonged jail term due to a plea bargain agreement.

In a surprising turn of events, Kim Hall, a 29-year-old beautician from Middlesbrough, has been sentenced to two years in prison after serving one year on remand. The incident occurred on August 18, 20XX, at Chicago's O'Hare airport, where she was caught with £15m worth of cocaine, totalling 43kg of Class A drugs, hidden in two suitcases.

The incident led to Kim Hall's arrest and subsequent charges for possession with intent to supply. However, she has maintained her innocence throughout, stating that she was coerced into bringing the suitcases by two British men. According to her, one of the men reportedly dragged her off the bed by her hair and held a handgun to her head, threatening to shoot her if she did not comply.

Kim Hall's family, including her scaffolder dad John, 60, are overjoyed at her hugely reduced sentence. They believe that she is not a criminal and has never been one. In their words, they feel they are the luckiest people on the planet, stating that it's better than winning any lottery. They are still concerned about which prison she will serve her sentence in, but are relieved that she will only have to endure two years, not 60.

The British woman's sentence was reduced due to the year she has spent on remand. She will serve half of the sentence, meaning she will be released in three years. Kim Hall has not yet served her full six-year sentence, with her release scheduled for two years from now.

Despite the ordeal, Kim Hall has not previously been involved in drug trafficking or criminal activities. She expressed distress and pleaded to call her parents when she realised the gravity of the situation. She clarified that she was not a drug trafficker and had no knowledge of the drugs in the suitcases.

During a random check, Homeland officials discovered the cocaine in the suitcases. Kim Hall, who has been sentenced to six years in jail in return for a guilty plea, has been remorseful and expressed her regret for her actions.

As she prepares to return to the UK, the community in Middlesbrough awaits the return of their daughter and friend, hoping that she will be able to rebuild her life after this harrowing experience.
