Six students lose their lives in a devastating water accident at Alexandria beach, with several more sustaining injuries. Tragic occurrence in Egypt.

In a tragic turn of events, 24 students were injured and six lost their lives in a drowning incident at Abu Talat Beach, located in the Ajami area of Alexandria Governorate.

The incident occurred during an activity organized by an academy specializing in air hospitality. The Egyptian Ambulance Authority responded promptly, dispatching sixteen fully equipped ambulances to the site to provide first aid and transfer the injured.

Three of the injured were treated at the scene, while the remaining 21 were transported to nearby hospitals - 13 to Al-Ajami Specialized Hospital and eight to Al-Amiriya General Hospital. Medical teams are following established emergency protocols in providing care, with all patients receiving specialized care for asphyxia caused by drowning.

The head of the rescue operation following the incident is the local emergency response coordinator appointed by Alexandria's civil protection authority. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, is personally overseeing the emergency response.

The Egyptian Ministry of Health is offering condolences to the families of the deceased and wishing a full and speedy recovery for those injured. The Ministry is also committed to providing continuous medical support.

Investigations are underway to determine the circumstances that led to the tragic accident. Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation closely, and the Ministry is coordinating with relevant bodies to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The Ministry has not released any information about the current condition of the injured or the progress of any ongoing investigations. However, it is reassuring to know that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the best possible care for those affected.
